Women Walking with New Heart Spirit: A New Era

Feb 11, 2026

Romans 8:4 | Ezekiel 36:26

Scripture Focus

“So that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.”
Romans 8:4

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
Ezekiel 36:26

Walking According to the Spirit

This year, as women of God, we are intentionally leaning into what it truly means to walk according to the Spirit and not the flesh.

The flesh is not only our physical body—it is the nature that governs how we respond, how we cope, how we protect ourselves, and how we react when we are wounded. The Spirit, however, leads us into truth, freedom, and transformation that cannot be produced by willpower alone.

Walking in the Spirit requires honesty. It requires surrender. And often, it requires God to deal with areas within us that we have learned to survive with rather than heal from.

This is the year God is addressing those inner places—not to expose us for shame, but to heal us for freedom.

A Testimony of Obedience and Heart Renewal

During our prayer gathering, one of our sisters shared a testimony that deeply marked this space.

She spoke honestly about years of unresolved pain—rejection, resentment, grief, and emotional wounds carried quietly while outwardly appearing strong. Like many women, she learned how to function, serve, parent, and show up—while still holding deep hurt beneath the surface.

In obedience to the Holy Spirit, she entered into a Daniel fast—not out of religious obligation, but out of a desire to be led. What followed was not just discipline, but divine intervention.

Through a profound encounter with God, she experienced what Scripture promises: not behaviour management, not emotional numbing—but a heart exchange.

What once triggered anger, resentment, and emotional cycles no longer held power. The memories remained—but the pain no longer ruled. Forgiveness became possible, not by force, but by transformation.

This was not forgetting the past.
This was healing the root.

God Is Still Giving New Hearts

Ezekiel 36:26 is not symbolic poetry—it is a living promise.

God is still removing hearts of stone.
God is still healing trauma stored in the soul.
God is still restoring emotional capacity where numbness once lived.

This is not about striving to forgive.
This is about allowing God to do what only He can do.

Many of us have learned to cope. God is inviting us to be healed.

Prayer for a New Heart

Father God,
We come before You with humility and trust. We lay at Your feet every burden we have carried—pain, rejection, resentment, fear, and disappointment. We ask You to do what only You can do.

Give us new hearts.
Remove every heart of stone.
Restore our capacity to love, forgive, and walk freely.

Fill us with Your Spirit. Teach us to walk according to You—not according to old patterns, old wounds, or survival responses. Heal us from the inside out, that we may live fully alive in You.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
