Women Walking in the Spirit: From Delay to Intimacy
Jan 29, 2026
Introduction
This year, the Lord has been consistently drawing our attention to Romans 8—a call for women to walk in the Spirit and not according to the flesh. This is not about perfection, but about partnership: learning to live closely aligned with the Spirit of God, allowing Him to bring our soul—our mind, will, and emotions—into agreement with His truth.
In this recent Alethea gathering, the Holy Spirit gently yet firmly revealed that walking in the Spirit requires honesty, intimacy, and response. Not performance. Not hiding. But a willingness to be seen and healed.
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
— Romans 8:1
Session Highlights
-
Walking in the Spirit is a daily alignment, not a momentary experience
-
Delay, fear, and unbelief can become subtle forms of denial
-
Conviction restores; condemnation isolates
-
God is healing not just behaviour, but the soul beneath it
-
Intimacy with God often feels uncomfortable—but it is where freedom begins
A key question echoed throughout the session:
Will we respond like Peter—or withdraw like Judas?
Both failed. Only one returned.
Scripture Anchor & Revelation
In Luke 22, Peter denies Jesus three times. Yet after the resurrection, Jesus does not condemn him—He restores him.
“Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?”
— John 21:15–17
Jesus asks the question three times—not to shame Peter, but to heal what had been broken. Each question becomes an invitation back into purpose.
This moment reminds us that denial does not disqualify us—refusal to return does.
Walking in the Spirit means we respond to conviction with repentance, not avoidance. It means we trust that God already knows our weakness and still chooses us.

A Story of Restoration
One woman shared how seasons of pain and disappointment led her to slowly withdraw—from God, from community, and from the call she once carried with confidence. Though she still believed, she delayed obedience, telling herself she would return “when ready.”
But readiness never came—only distance.
In a moment of deep honesty, she confessed her fear of intimacy with God. She didn’t know how to trust. She didn’t know how to rest. She didn’t know how to return without shame.
Yet in that place, God met her—not with rebuke, but with reassurance.
Healing didn’t begin when she had answers.
It began when she stopped hiding.
Action for the Week
This week, choose intimacy over avoidance.
-
Set aside 10–15 minutes to sit with God honestly—no agenda, no performance.
-
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal one soul pattern He is highlighting.
-
Respond to conviction with repentance, not withdrawal.
-
Throughout your day, practice saying: “Holy Spirit, help me.”
-
If prompted, share a reflection or prayer request—this season is not meant to be walked alone.
We are women walking in the Spirit.
Not condemned. Not hidden.
But healed, aligned, and responding in love
