Women Redeemed to Build: What Jesus Secured, the Holy Spirit Sustains (Romans 8:3)

Feb 01, 2026

It was late. We were tired. But we showed up—because there are moments when your spirit knows what your body is struggling to do: seek the Lord.

In Alethea Women, we believe in carrying one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), walking in love and unity, and allowing the Word of God to do what only it can do—discern and expose what is hidden in our soul: our mind, will, and emotions (Romans 15:1).

We opened by declaring:
God has not given us a spirit of fear, intimidation, pride, or anxiety—but a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. We receive His peace and reject every form of unrest in Jesus’ name.

And from there, the Spirit led us to a verse that anchored the entire night:

Romans 8:3.

HIGHLIGHTS

1) Romans 8:3 — Jesus Did What the Law Could Not Do

“For what the law could not do… God did by sending His Son…”

The law could identify sin, but it could not redeem us from sin.
Jesus came in the likeness of sinful flesh and condemned sin in the flesh—so we could live free and walk in the Spirit.

This isn’t just scripture for reading. It’s scripture for living.

2) The Blood of Jesus Speaks a Better Word

We reflected on the power of the blood:

  • Abel’s blood cried out from the ground in accusation (Genesis)

  • But Jesus’ blood speaks a better word—redemption

And we declared together:
“I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus.”

Some women needed to speak that out loud because condemnation had been cycling in their minds. But redemption has weight. It is not a quote—it’s a covering.

3) This Is a Year of Building and Sustaining

A clear theme rose again: God is building within us.

Building:

  • stability

  • partnerships and community

  • new patterns

  • intercession

  • conviction

  • intimacy

And part of building is God revealing the areas we’ve survived through—but never healed.

4) Survival Mode + Autopilot Is Being Confronted

God revealed something many of us didn’t want to admit:
We can go through entire weeks on rotation—work, home, parenting, responsibilities—without being present enough to ask:

“Holy Spirit… what is going on in my soul?”

God is calling us out of unconscious living and into intentional fellowship:
Not just “getting through” life, but living in Him.

5) God Is Exposing Fantasy and Falsehood

A strong warning came through:
Some of us have been comfortable in environments we’ve outgrown—because we haven’t seen the spiritual dimension.

But God is opening our eyes:

  • to see what is altered

  • to recognise where there is “form” without power

  • to stop following blindly

  • to desire deeper truth

Many women shared the same cry:
“Lord, I want more of You.”

Not a religious routine. Not surface Christianity.
A life that is pleasing to God in spirit and truth.

6) God Is Dealing With Our Mouth and Our “Silent Weapons”

A major conviction landed around speech:
God is holding us accountable for:

  • what we say when triggered

  • what we say in anger

  • what we say in private

  • and what we withhold in silence

There was a word that many of us needed:
Sometimes we speak any-how to the people we are familiar with.

God asked:
“If this wasn’t your mother… would you speak like that?”

And the moment we realised the answer was “no,” heaven gave instruction:
“Then don’t say it.”

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE + REVELATION

Romans 8:3

“For what the law could not do… God did by sending His own Son…”

This verse reminded us:
Redemption is not self-effort. Redemption is Jesus.

But walking in redemption means allowing the Spirit to:

  • expose our flesh

  • confront our habits

  • realign our emotional patterns

  • and teach us to live intentionally

Because this year, we are not just women who pray—we are women walking in the Spirit.

INSPIRATIONAL STORY

“The Blood Speaks Redemption, Not Accusation”

We revisited the contrast between Abel’s blood and Jesus’ blood.

Abel’s blood cried out from the ground.
Jesus’ blood speaks a better word.

If you’ve been living under accusation—self-blame, shame, regret—tonight’s message was clear:

The blood of Jesus does not speak condemnation.
It speaks redemption.

And when you understand the blood, you begin to apply it—not only to your sins, but to your mind, your mouth, your identity, and your relationships.

PRACTICAL EXAMPLE

A woman shared that she struggles most not with forgiving other people—but forgiving herself.

Her prayers often become repeated cycles of:

  • “God I keep failing”

  • “I’m not changing fast enough”

  • “I don’t know how You’re still patient”

  • “Why do You keep coming back?”

And the truth is:
God keeps coming back because He’s committed to building, not condemning.

This is what the year of building looks like:
God reveals, then He repairs.
God exposes, then He establishes new patterns.

Change doesn’t always happen overnight—but walking with the Spirit means we don’t stay stuck in the same responses.

ACTION FOR THE WEEK

Keep it simple, practical, and Spirit-led:

1) The “Holy Spirit Help Me” Pause

Every day this week, when you feel triggered—pause before you respond and whisper:
“Holy Spirit, help me.”

2) The Familiarity Check

Before you speak to someone close to you (partner, parent, child), ask:
“Would I speak like this to someone outside my house?”
If the answer is no—adjust your words.

3) One Redemption Declaration

Once a day, speak out loud:
“I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus.”
Say it especially when shame tries to rise.
