WOMEN, IT IS TIME TO ARISE (Isaiah 60:1)

Feb 16, 2026

The Lord Has Need of You

Romans 8:5

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.”

For weeks, we have been sitting in Romans 8.
But this week, the Spirit began to press deeper.

This is not just about walking in the Spirit.

This is about maturity.
This is about sonship.
This is about building.

God is not only healing us — He is perfecting us as sons.

Flesh vs Spirit: The Real Battle

When we speak about “the flesh,” we are not just speaking about our physical body.

The flesh is:

  • Our human frailty

  • Our limiting beliefs

  • Our insecurity

  • Our rejection filters

  • Our self-protection patterns

  • The lens through which we interpret everything

The Spirit says:
“Deal with my outer nature, Lord. Deal with my self-limiting thoughts. Deal with the beliefs that distort how I see You, others, and myself.”

Some of us have been asking, “God, why am I not changing?”

Because He is exposing what must be pruned.

This Is a Pruning Season

John 15 became a confirmation.

The Father prunes what cannot remain.

Not to shame.
Not to discard.
But to mature.

Pruning looks like:

  • Exposed jealousy

  • Exposed insecurity

  • Exposed comparison

  • Exposed entitlement

  • Exposed rejection filters

Some of us are no longer rejected —
but we still move as if we are.

We interpret silence as abandonment.
We interpret growth as exclusion.
We interpret leadership as control.

And God is saying:

“You are not children drinking milk anymore. I am perfecting the saints.”

This Is Not Just Church — This Is Ministry

There is a difference.

This environment was never designed for spectators.
It was designed for sons.

Some of you have been fed for three years.
Now the Spirit is asking:

What are you building?

The Kingdom does not advance by attendance.
It advances by obedience.

The Lens Must Be Healed

Some of us do not trust spiritual spaces.
Some of us project past church hurt onto present leadership.
Some of us withdraw instead of engage.

And God is gently exposing this.

Not to embarrass you.
But to free you.

Confession is not weakness — it is the doorway to healing.

You cannot be healed from what you will not name.

The Donkey and the King

Luke 19:30–31

“You will find a colt tied there… Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks why you are untying it, say, ‘The Lord needs it.’”

The Lord has need of you.

Not a horse.
Not something impressive.

A donkey.

Tied up.
Unnoticed.
Ordinary.

And yet — the King of Glory rode on it.

The area you think disqualifies you
is the area God intends to use.

Creation obeys immediately.
The fig tree withers immediately.
The donkey is untied immediately.

But humans hesitate.

And the Spirit is saying:

Creation is waiting for the sons of God to arise.

Stop Comparing. Start Partnering.

Never envy someone’s anointing.

Anointing comes through pruning.
Through warfare.
Through dying to self.

Instead of asking:
“Why do they have that?”

Ask:
“How do I partner with what God is building?”

This year is not about performance.
It is about alignment.

The Kingdom Needs Workers

The mission is simple:

Win souls.
Build people.
Glorify God.

The method may differ.
But the mission is the same.

Some of you are:

  • Encouragers

  • Intercessors

  • Pastors at heart

  • Prophetic voices

  • Evangelists in your workplace

  • Builders in the unseen

The Spirit is asking:

Will you just do it?

Not when you feel ready.
Not when you feel confident.

Just obey.

Like a baby learning to walk.
No manual.
Just movement.

Lay Down What God Never Asked You to Carry

Many of us are carrying burdens that were never assigned to us.

The battle is not yours.
But the obedience is.

Lay down:

  • False responsibility

  • False identity

  • False comparison

  • Fear of man

  • Intimidation from the past

Pick up:

  • Sonship

  • Authority

  • Confidence in Christ

  • Kingdom vision

Jesus Is Coming for Sons

This is not fear language.

This is urgency language.

Time is short.
We cannot afford spiritual infancy.

You are not “just attending.”

You are being prepared.

Prayer Focus of the Week

Father, deal with my flesh and expose every distorted lens in me; prune what cannot remain and mature me as a true son; break every spirit of intimidation and rejection that keeps me small; align my heart with Your Kingdom agenda; and give me bold obedience to respond when You say, “I have need of you.”

Action of the Week

Identify one area where you have been hesitating in obedience — and take one tangible step forward in faith before next Thursday.

Do not overthink it.

Just move.
