WITHHOLDING NOTHING — THE CALL TO SURRENDER
Nov 25, 2025
This week inside Alethea Women, the Holy Spirit led us into one of the most vulnerable and transformative sessions we have experienced yet. The theme arose before any of us realised it: SURRENDER. One simple phrase kept echoing in the atmosphere:
“I surrender all… withholding nothing.”
As women sat in stillness, one by one the Lord began to illuminate the hidden places of the heart — the places we protect, the burdens we carry, and the internal battles we rarely expose. What followed was a morning of revelation, repentance, healing, and divine exchange.
THE QUESTION GOD ASKED US: “WHAT ARE YOU WITHHOLDING?”
When we say I surrender all, do we really mean all?
The Holy Spirit began to show us that many of us surrender with one hand while hiding the other behind our back. Some shared visions of a child standing with clenched fists, unwilling to release what was hurting them. Others described how we give God “the manageable things” while concealing the deeper fears, wounds, insecurities, and secret battles.
Across the call, the Lord exposed a collective theme:
We have given God some, but we have not given Him everything.
We trust Him partially, but not fully.
We love Him sincerely, but not entirely.
This was not condemnation — it was an invitation.
An invitation to honesty, depth, and deliverance.
A CALL TO DIE TO CONDITIONAL FAITH
One woman shared a powerful reflection inspired by Esther’s words:
“If I perish, I perish.”
She challenged us with this question:
Is your relationship with God conditional?
Do you trust Him only when He works according to your expectations?
Because God desires a love that remains even when the answer is “not yet”… even when the path feels unclear… even when surrender costs us something.
This was a moment of deep conviction.
A holy shaking of our foundations.
THE GIFT OF TRANSPARENCY
Throughout the session, several women shared openly about private battles:
-
Overwhelm and mental pressure
-
Hidden stress behind a composed exterior
-
The frustration of delayed answers
-
Uncertainty, discouragement, and emotional fatigue
-
Masking pain instead of revealing it
-
Fear of failure
-
Fear of what others think
-
Hyper-independence and self-reliance
Their transparency broke something open in the room.
It reminded us that God cannot heal what we refuse to reveal.
WHEN LOGIC BECOMES AN IDOL
Another powerful revelation came as someone described how logic and self-sufficiency had unknowingly become an idol. She explained how:
-
She prayed for breakthrough
-
Yet planned everything logically
-
And left no room for God to be God
The Lord confronted her with the truth that self-reliance is a silent idol — one that blocks divine intervention.
The message was clear:
You cannot ask God to move
while still clinging to the illusion of control.
THE TWO-HANDED SURRENDER
A recurring image reappeared throughout the call:
two hands behind the back, clenched tight.
God asked many of us:
“What is behind your back?
What are you still holding onto?
Give it to Me.”
This was the moment everything shifted.
It became a morning of divine exchange.
One by one, women wrote down:
“I give God ____, and I receive ____.”
Fear was exchanged for peace.
Anxiety for power, love, and a sound mind.
Self-reliance for trust.
Comparison for identity.
Intrusive thoughts for the mind of Christ.
Hyper-independence for rest.
Fear of failure for the promise of success.
Scriptures became weapons.
Declarations became warfare.
Hearts were unburdened.
Peace entered the room like a person — because it is.
THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT
A strong teaching emerged at the end about spiritual warfare:
Words create footholds.
Agreement gives access.
Scripture breaks cycles.
When untruths, accusations, or negative words were spoken over some women, they unintentionally agreed with them — opening doors to anxiety, fear, and heaviness.
The Lord taught us:
❌ Do not agree with the voice of the enemy.
✔️ Agree with the truth of Scripture.
✔️ Speak it out.
✔️ Declare it until your body submits to peace.
One sister shared a profound revelation about Philippians 4:7:
Peace is not passive —
Peace is a soldier assigned to guard your heart and mind.
This changed everything.
WHAT GOD ESTABLISHED TODAY
By the end of the session, the theme was unmistakable:
God is teaching us to truly love Him
with all our heart,
all our soul,
and all our mind.
Not the version of love we think we offer —
but the one that requires honesty, obedience, trust, and surrender.
Today was an altar moment.
A moment where God asked:
“Give it to Me.”
And many did.
CLOSING PRAYER
Father,
We thank You for exposing the hidden things of the heart.
For revealing what we have withheld.
For teaching us to trust You with our whole being.
Today we repent, release, and receive.
We declare that Your Word is final,
Your peace is our guard,
and Your truth uproots every lie.
Teach us to love You fully —
withholding nothing.
Amen.
