Embracing Vulnerability and Trusting God's Plan: A Journey of Resilience
Jul 14, 2025
Hey girl,
In a world where we are constantly juggling responsibilities, facing unexpected challenges, and often feeling the weight of the world on our shoulders, there is one thing we must remember: our strength lies in vulnerability. The beauty of walking in faith and embracing our imperfections is that we invite healing and growth into our lives, not only for ourselves but also for the women around us who are fighting similar battles.
As we move forward in our journeys, it’s essential to ask ourselves, How are you? Not the surface answer, but the deeper, real question that forces us to pause, reflect, and understand where we truly are. So often, we rush through life without checking in with ourselves, not allowing time to acknowledge the emotions we may be avoiding.
This is not just about spiritual strength; it’s about being honest and transparent with ourselves and others, especially in our community of women. And let’s face it – that’s tough. I, too, am walking through a season of learning what it means to embrace the new depth of vulnerability that God is calling me to. For years, I’ve worn the mask of having it all together, hiding my struggles behind a well-polished exterior. But there’s a shift happening.
As I’ve shared with the women around me, the pressure has been immense, both spiritually and physically. From dealing with family struggles and unexpected home disasters to grappling with finances and my own health, there are times when it feels like the weight is unbearable. And yet, there is a beauty in this process. Because in sharing these struggles, I’ve realised the truth: I’m not alone, and neither are you.
I have recently challenged myself to be more transparent. Last week whilst on our prayer call with 6% battery on my laptop faced with it dieing in a few minutes. I had to think quickly and asked Monica to take over
Life has been messy! The plumbing issue flooded my kitchen, the Wi-Fi cut out, and my phone would be often dead when I needed it most. Yet, I had to laugh at the absurdity of it all. Boiling water to bath, trying to maintain a sense of normalcy while everything feels upside down—it’s been real. But through it all, God is reminding me that His grace is sufficient, even when the chaos seems relentless.
This season is teaching me that those who are called to serve must be willing to give a lot. If I am asking you to open up, share your heart, and trust in God’s plan, then I too must step into a place of vulnerability. I have learned that the strength we need to navigate life’s toughest moments doesn’t come from hiding our struggles; it comes from embracing them and allowing ourselves to face them head-on.be carried by others in prayer and community.
One particular story that stands out is the testimony of a woman in our community. She shared her heartache and struggle of living with very little—sometimes going without food, not knowing how to make ends meet for her family. Yet, despite the financial hardships, she found freedom and peace. She learned to rely on God’s provision, and in the midst of it all, she felt a joy that transcended her circumstances. Her testimony was not just about surviving the storm but thriving in the midst of it.
And then there's a beautiful woman of God's story, which struck me deeply. Like many of us, she has faced internal battles, self-doubt, and moments of wanting to give up. But through the power of prayer, she found her way back to peace. Even when things weren’t going as planned, she stood firm, holding on to God’s promises. The breakthrough that she experienced was not just an emotional shift, but a physical one too—when she received a prophetic word that was exactly what she needed to hear in that moment. It reminded me of how God speaks directly into our struggles, turning the impossible into possible.
The vulnerability and the raw honesty shared by the women around me are inspiring. But, even more so, it has taught me that there is beauty in not having all the answers, in not knowing how the next moment will unfold. There is strength in admitting that we don’t have it all figured out, that we too need to lean on others, and most importantly, on God.
Ladies, I encourage you today to lean into vulnerability. You may feel like your faith is small or that your struggles are too much to bear. But let me remind you that God is working in your life, even when you can’t see it. He hears your prayers, your cries, and He will provide. As someone boldly shared in our recent gathering, “God will work it out.” And He will. We may not understand how or when, but God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect.
So, as you go about your week, remember that you are not alone. We are in this together. Our collective strength comes not from our ability to hold everything together, but from our willingness to surrender and trust in God’s plan. Whether you’re battling financial struggles, personal loss, health issues, or even spiritual warfare, know that God sees you. He’s with you. And He is working things out on your behalf.
It’s time to trust, to let go of the facade, and to walk boldly in the vulnerability that will lead to healing, peace, and breakthrough.
