Welcome to 2026 — A Year of Dominion and Walking in the Spirit

Jan 12, 2026

As we gathered for our first Alethea Rapha session of 2026, the tone was clear from the start: this is not a passive year.

2025 may have been a year of exposure, stretching, and “circumcision” of the heart—yet by God’s grace, we made it through. And now we’ve stepped into a new season with purpose.

The phrase that kept rising in prayer was: “Occupy territory.”
Not in striving. Not in fear. But in dominion—with heaven’s authority and with a heart aligned to God.

This is a Kairos year: an intentional year. A year where we don’t hide. A year where champions rise—especially the “underdog.” A year where partnership matters, prayer becomes sharper, and our character catches up with our gifts.

And our anchor for the year is Romans 8—the theme: Walking in the Spirit.

Highlights from the Session

1) 2026 is a year of “Occupy”

We are not shrinking back. We are not waiting for permission. We are not ruled by what happened last year. We are stepping forward with God—to occupy our God-given territory in family, work, ministry, and personal calling.

2) A ministry that develops leaders, not dependents

Alethea Rapha exists to support and develop what God is building inside of you.
You are not “under” a ministry—you are a co-labourer. You have your own lane, your own jurisdiction, your own assignment.

3) A Spirit-led space with structure and order

We’re staying Spirit-led—always.
But as the community grows, we also embrace godly order: worship, declaring the Word, repentance, listening, praying God’s will, and making space for women to lead and grow.

4) The call to truth, intimacy, and alignment

A major emphasis today was this:
We cannot be spiritually gifted but internally misaligned.
This is a year of character development—where our “public” and “private” selves come into one honest, healed, Spirit-led life.

Walking in the Spirit

Romans 8 is our foundational passage for the year, and it begins with freedom:

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus… For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free…” (Romans 8:1–2)

We were reminded that walking in the Spirit is not a vibe—it’s a way of living:

  • choosing God’s truth over our emotions

  • choosing obedience over impulse

  • choosing surrender over control

  • choosing intimacy over performance

One verse stood out as a practical lifeline for the week:

“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses… the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us…” (Romans 8:26)

If you’ve ever said, “I don’t even know what to pray,” this is your reassurance: the Holy Spirit helps.

When “Holy Spirit, Help Me” Changes Everything

One woman shared a simple but powerful moment from her home.

It started with tension—over something small. A child was upset. Voices rose. Stress took over. The atmosphere felt like it was escalating fast.

And then, right in the middle of it, she prayed out loud:

“Holy Spirit… help me.”

Not a long prayer. Not a perfect prayer. Just a real one.

Something shifted.

Instead of reacting, she paused.
Instead of defending, she softened.
Instead of performing, she became honest.

A deeper conversation opened—about feelings, disappointment, needs, and unmet expectations. There were apologies. There was connection. There was healing.

And later, she realised the breakthrough wasn’t “better parenting techniques.”
It was this: she invited the Helper into a real moment.

That is what walking in the Spirit looks like.
Not only in church. Not only on Zoom.
But in the everyday moments where our flesh wants to react—and the Spirit wants to lead.

This Week’s Action: Ask the Holy Spirit for Help Every Day

Here’s the simple assignment for the week:

Every day this week, ask the Holy Spirit for help—on purpose.

Use a one-line prayer like:

  • “Holy Spirit, help me today.”

  • “Holy Spirit, lead me in truth.”

  • “Holy Spirit, show me what You want.”

  • “Holy Spirit, help me respond like Jesus.”

Don’t overcomplicate it. Just practice relationship.

Because this year, we’re not ignoring Him.
We’re getting to know Him.
